Piano Instructor in Bedminster Publishes Online Music Articles

A Bedminster piano teacher has published a series of articles reviewing Chopin, Liszt and Beethoven to effectively demonstrate how major composers concentrated on sight reading, ear training and piano fingering techniques. Several compositions of each respective composer were selected for review. Barbara Ehrlich plans future articles reviewing composers with a broad-based approach to music appreciation.

The articles quote contemporaries of the composers to highlight their great achievements and reputations. Background research was performed on the composers including biographical profiles. The piano teacher, Barbara Ehrlich, is a leading private piano instructor in Bedminster and surrounding areas. She plans additional articles to inspire music students and piano lovers to learn more about great pianists and piano composers.

“My hope is that my readers will want to find out more about these tremendous pianists,” stated Ms. Ehrlich. “As we explore the history of piano music, artists come to identify with one another and are inspired by other artists’ techniques and interpretations of music.”

“I would like my students to listen as much as possible to recordings of the great composers who came before us,” she said. “As one listens to various artist, our ear picks up variations and interpretations that we synthesize over time into our own artistic voice.” The piano instructor’s articles are entitled Franz Liszt and Sight Reading Music, Beethoven, Improvisation and Playing By Ear, and Chopin Etudes and Piano Technique.
